Xenogears relived through fan-made songs

I was browsing the Xenogears forum in GameFAQs and chanced upon an interesting thread. Unlike most threads that ask about what other games are as awesome or who’s your favorite character, RuneWa1sh actually created original work that retold the game’s key themes through song.
The songs are in the hip-hop genre, which I’m not the biggest fan of (I’m a metal head & video game music lover), but it’s very well done. I was worried that they were just terrible fanboy creations, but I was pleasantly surprised.
He has a good voice which remind me of movie trailer announcers and David Hayter (Solid Snake). If you’re a Xenogears fan, it’s a must-listen!
Marketing department: Sonic the Hedgehog is a “Special Interest”

WidgetBucks, an advertising service for websites, is a relatively new company that seems to be taking off fairly well. While checking out WidgetBucks I browsed through the numerous product categories that could be advertised. There are many, like video games, books, clothing, etc., and the list goes on. Out of curiosity I checked what items were for sale under “Special Interest,” and lo and behold, the only sub-category is “Sonic the Hedgehog.”

Not really sure how this happened, but I wish I was in the meeting room to make this strange decision. View the actual Sonic the Hedgehog ad below for gaming history - congratulations, Sonic!
Irritating Stick (PS)
Irritating Stick is a very misunderstood game. It’s terribly hard at times and it makes you wonder why anyone would play this game - but once you start clearing a few levels, you just might get addicted.
Irritating Stick was actually based on a popular TV show of the same name in Japan, which was based on an American carnival game. The game’s premise is simple: guide your metal stick to the goal without touching the metal boundaries. If you touch a wall, you get an electric shock (in this case, controller vibration) and you lose a life.
The graphics and music are nothing to write home about, but the gameplay’s pretty solid. There are many modes of play that keep the game interesting like “Artificial Intelligence” mode that builds courses depending on your skill, “TV Course” based on the TV show itself, a course editor to frustrate your friends, and more. The game is pretty much jam-packed with modes that keep the game interesting for a good while.
The game has a pretty steep difficulty hike, with levels getting difficult at an alarming rate. The game does give you the sense of accomplishment however, as the game has a very talkative announcer that congratulates you. He can actually mess you up, as he’ll often exclaim that you’re too close to the wall just to get your adrenaline pumping even more.
Irritating Stick is definitely not for everyone, but the entry price isn’t too bad at around $10. If you love puzzles and can take the frustration, get it and play it with your friends - it’s guaranteed to create quite a stir.
